What is the difference between a bearing bush and a bearing?

SNW-Auto parts    Babbitt Bearings knowledge    What is the difference between a bearing bush and a bearing?

Bearing bush and bearings are used in mechanical equipment, with different appearance shapes, different functions, different installation parts and so on.
Bearing bush and bearings are used in mechanical equipment, and we briefly explain the differences between them from the following aspects: different appearance shapes, different functions, different installation parts and so on.

Bearing bush are also called sliding bearings, its shape is shingle, semi-cylindrical, smooth inner and outer surface. Generally, a layer of composite materials such as bronze, aluminum, tin and lead is sintered with a steel back, and then sliced and pressed. It has the characteristics of wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and high speed resistance. Bearings are generally used in engines. It covers agricultural machinery, construction machinery, trains, automobiles, motorcycles, ships, ships, ships, aerospace and other fields.

In recent years, with the development of science and technology, Zall bearing researchers have developed a new type of bearing nano protective material after hard work, as long as the bearing surface is specially treated, coated with a layer of ultra-thin nano protective film, the service life of the bearing can be greatly extended, and it is currently only used in some special fields or high-end machinery and equipment. (In the model or toy industry, bearings are also made of materials such as wood, engineering plastics or rubber.) )

There are two types of bearing bush: integral and split, and monolithic bearing bush are usually called bushing bush or bushing shell. There are two kinds of integral bearing bush: oil-free and oil-grooved. The bearing pad is in contact with the journal, adopts a gap fit, and generally does not rotate with the shaft.

When the bearing bush is working, because there is a thin oil film between the bearing bush and the shaft, the bearing pad and the shaft are not in direct contact, stable and noiseless. If lubrication is poor, direct friction will occur between the bearing and the shaft, and the friction will generate high temperatures that can lead to burnout. In addition, bearings can burn out due to excessive loads, excessive temperatures, impurities or abnormal viscosity of the lubricating oil.

Bearings, commonly known as rolling bearings, consist of an outer ring, inner ring, flip body and holding frame. Common raw materials are bearing alloys, copper-based and aluminum-based alloys, wear-resistant cast iron, powder metallurgy materials, plastics, vulcanized rubber, rosewood and carbon-high purity graphite, modified materials polyoxymethylene (POM), etc. The effect of the inner ring is to cooperate with the shaft and rotate with the shaft; The outer ring and mounted bearings act as support points. The cage allows the flip body to be distributed together, avoid its fall, and guide the flip body to rotate.

Rolling bearings are easy to maintain, have good starting characteristics and high bearing capacity at medium speeds. Compared with bearings, the specifications are larger, the shock absorption capacity is weaker, the noise is loud, and the service life is lower at the speed of the bearing.
